I grew up in a Christian home and attended church gatherings whenever they were held. I had a knowledge of the things of Christ, but this was very mechanical and cold. My life outside of the church was consumed with education, building a career in engineering, and making a name for myself. I married my high school sweetheart and we had what we thought was a perfect life. When Christ found me, I though I already had everything. I began to serve him and my life began to fall apart. My job, my marriage, and everything in which I had taken great pride were in ruins. I was broken, and, for the first time in my life, I couldn’t solve the problem. I was sent out of town for work, and, as the plane took off, I prayed to God to take me and do what He would with me. “Here I am, Lord, use me as You will. If I must lose everything to have Christ, I am willing.” The Lord changed my heart that night and called me to teach and preach His precious Word to all who will hear. The Lord led me here to be an Elder of Grace Church, the church where I grew up. My marriage was saved through the power of Christ and the Lord has greatly blessed my wife Stacy and I. We were blessed with a daughter, Mia, and are looking forward to adopting more. We have been blessed with a dear family in Christ at Grace and long for fellowship with believers in Christ.

I first visited Grace Church in the late sixties with my Parents ! After my Father passed away in 1969 we were looking for a church closer to home . We started attending Grace on a regular basis and right away we felt at home ! In 1979 I married the love of my life Sandy in the church chapel ! A few years later two children came along , Lisa and Joe . We were truly blessed ! In the early nineties Elder Keith Hamilton asked that I be nominated for the office of Deacon ! Sandy and I have now watched our children grow up and get married and as we are reaching retirement age we hope to do a lot of traveling ! The Lord has blessed our family and we are so glad to have Grace Church as our home !

I am an Army veteran that has struggled with PTSD and alcoholism. As far as I tried to be from God, our Father would not let me go. In 2007, I met my wife, Ashley, and my life began to turn around. I found my strength and purpose through Jesus Christ, who showed me that our only refuge from sin is God's Word. I strive to be a productive member of Grace Church and a light for Christ in the world by remembering my own flaws and accepting others who are just as lost as I once was.
